Beta test users install the Android app from the link in their invite. It loads the same live system as every other screen, so updates arrive without reinstalling.

Until then, open Shimbiri in Safari and choose Share, then Add to Home Screen.

Works in your browser

Sign in to your boat’s Shimbiri address in any modern browser. To keep it as an app with its own window, install it from the browser:

  • Chrome (Windows, Mac, Linux, Chromebook): Click the install icon at the right of the address bar.
  • Edge (Windows): Open the … menu, then Apps, then Install this site as an app.
  • Safari (Mac): Choose File, then Add to Dock.
  • Firefox: Use it in a browser tab. Firefox on a computer does not install sites as apps.
